Polar Help Desk 5 RESTful Web API
We have updated our help pages about RESTful Web API URI resources and HTTP methods and Roles and Permissions modules. High level of customization of both types of teams, users, contacts and accounts, and choice of a way in which you can reach data and interact with the help desk we achieved by building logically simple and powerful RESTful architecture and building it into user interface as URIs visible in address bar and roles and permissions administration panel.
By modifying roles, you can choose the way in which each help desk user can interact with the help desk — resources visible to him, templates for creating new resources, parts of administration section, methods and actions available to him — everything can be fine-tuned because permission to request for each method on each resource can be allowed or not. The simplest way to see all that is to log in as administrator to our development demo and go to Administration > Roles and check out our help page at the link above for explanations.
Polar Help Desk 5.0.92
We have released version 5.0.92 few days ago. We have fixed an issue with configuring SQL database permissions that affected some users, issues releated to the textarea’s automatic height control (it will no longer contract randomly) and plethora of other minor issues regarding user interface.
